Virtuoso Designs is a Cape Town based company, specialising in the manufacturing of stairs, balustrades and steel works.
Custom Made Gates
A combination of Stainless steel
and woven Copper strips were used on these entrance
gates.
All stainless steel is mirror polished
to a 600grit and in a 316L grade. Eventually the
copper will turn green in colour giving it a very
unique look combined with the stainless.
This technique can be used on any type of gate. Even with a tighter weave of strips and mixed between copper and stainless strips together.
Staircases
This magnificent staircase was exclusively designed for the new Cape Quarter Mall together with two other staircases.
The structure was hand crafted and welded together to form a curved channel. Machines cannot roll channels in 3D, so this staircase was completely built standing in our workshop and keeping our clients on their tips of their toes as they were worried because they did not see anything on site. Once done we stripped the entire stair and moved it to the Cape Quarters where we re assembled it in its place. Done to the millimetre and no adjustments had to be made on site.
A combination of smoked Meranti wood, stained in a dark Oak, glass rizers and about 4.5 tons of steel.
This piece will forever be part of The Cape Quarter Mall.
Shop Fitting
For the wine EXPO at the CTICC
we built this 6.5T steel structure for
Vanilla
Concrete.
All the fine finishes were done by
Vanilla
Concrete. Again the entire structure
was done standing complete in our workshop with
a centre Stair splitting in two directions on the
next level.
All our work approved by engineers and we even build
it stronger than it was needed to be able to carry
large amounts of traffic.
Timber Works
Pool deck done in Balau.
This can by done in any size or shape and can combine Pergola's, Gazebo's, walkways or bridges.
There are many exotic timbers to choose from and samples can be arranged.
Custom Made Furniture
A wide variety of Custom Designed Furniture - this includes tables, chairs, ottoman's, mirror frames, lamp stand, servers, bars, wine racks and so much more. We can design and manufacture your product in any form of metal from mild steel, stainless steel. electro plated any colour or style from bronze, copper, gold, chrome, nickel and many more.
Balustrades
Balustrades done in 316 Stainless Steel with cable systems and hand rails in Rhodesian Teak. No bolts were visible and cover plates were used to finish off all stations and handrails at the ends.
